Job Type: Full-time - Part-time Availability
Salary: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:
  • 8-hour shift
  • M-F, Weekend availability a plus

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
  • Answers, screens, and directs calls on multi-line phone system in a courteous and professional manner; takes messages and/or forwards telephone calls to appropriate employee, voice mail, or pager.
  • Opens and closes front office and reception area a.m. and p.m. //Unlock door, turn on/off lights, tidy reception area.
  • Responds to visitors, clients, and employees in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Approaches problems with a focus on Customer Service.
  • Scans medical records and patient pertinent information when received (at least by day end) into the EMR system and routes to the correct staff.
  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
  • Follows the intake guidelines of the clinic in regard to retrieving demographic data at patient visits and during phone calls.

Skills & Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient on Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Athena, and ShoreTel Phone system.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Keystrokes a minimum of 45 wpm.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Bilingual skills a plus.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to perform diversified clerical functions and basic accounting procedures.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Sit for prolonged periods.
  • Perform some repetitive motion activities.
  • Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Be able to ambulate to stock/maintain a clean and orderly front reception area.
  • HIPAA standards to be followed.

Education:
  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:
  • Customer service: 2 years (Required)
  • Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Computer skills: 3 years (Required)
