- M-F, Weekend availability a plus

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Answers, screens, and directs calls on multi-line phone system in a courteous and professional manner; takes messages and/or forwards telephone calls to appropriate employee, voice mail, or pager.
- Opens and closes front office and reception area a.m. and p.m. //Unlock door, turn on/off lights, tidy reception area.
- Responds to visitors, clients, and employees in a courteous and professional manner.
- Approaches problems with a focus on Customer Service.
- Scans medical records and patient pertinent information when received (at least by day end) into the EMR system and routes to the correct staff.
- Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
- Follows the intake guidelines of the clinic in regard to retrieving demographic data at patient visits and during phone calls.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient on Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Athena, and ShoreTel Phone system.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
- Keystrokes a minimum of 45 wpm.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Bilingual skills a plus.
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to perform diversified clerical functions and basic accounting procedures.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Sit for prolonged periods.
- Perform some repetitive motion activities.
- Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Be able to ambulate to stock/maintain a clean and orderly front reception area.
- HIPAA standards to be followed.
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)

- Customer service: 2 years (Required)
- Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)
- Computer skills: 3 years (Required)
